We've been getting lots of requests for "alternative" wedding reception ideas ... here are a few:  

• Get married and have your reception on a cruise ship - Check out the Lake George Waterfront Cruises and The Lake George Steamboat Company
  
• Have an outdoor wedding overlooking the Lake (The Georgian and the Fort William Henry Resort are perfect for this)
  
• Get married on a mountain top!  We are surrounded by them!  Most popular place to get married is the Prospect Mountain, if you'd like to get married on the mountain, you would need a judge:  We suggest Judge Robert Radloff 518 668-9617 (please call during the day on weekdays).  The mountain is only open for weddings in-season from Memorial Day to mid-October.  Guests will need to pay entrance fee to drive up the Prospect Mountain Highway.  Call the DEC to clear your wedding day at 518 623-3671.
