If you ask someone, "What's Saratoga like?" they will tell you it is unlike any other destination. A combination of tradition, beauty and excitement. Saratoga Race Course is a timeless treasure - and is the "Summer Place To Be."

True racing fans come to experience the heart pounding excitement of watching the finest and fastest thoroughbreds in the world. Others just stroll the grounds, people watch, enjoy the festivities and ambiance of the country's oldest race course.

The Saratoga Race Course experience is something different for everyone. Some bring their entire family and picnic on the grounds. For others, it's a true social occasion based on tradition.

In a sense, Saratoga Race Course is a melting pot. Young, old, tourists and those who live nearby all make Saratoga part of their summer plans.

A visit to the Flat Track in Saratoga Springs is an experience that you will thoroughly enjoy. Whether you're an early riser who enjoys Saratoga at sunrise or prefer to arrive later, a buffet breakfast is available from 7:00 am - 9:30 am. The mood is always easy and relaxed. Admission is free during breakfast hours, except on Travers Day.

Morning visitors also have the opportunity to take free tram tour of the barn area, tour the historic grounds or watch the Paddock Show and Starting Gate Demonstration. Vehicles leaving the grounds before 10 am receive a parking refund.

Gentlemen: Suits or sports jacket required
Ladies: Dresses, skirts or slacks outfits
ABSOLUTELY NO SHORTS OR JEANS

Clubhouse:
Proper attire required at management's discretion. No short shorts, cut offs or other abbreviated wear. No tank tops.

Grandstand:
Shoes and shirts required at all times.

Children ages 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Admission gates open weekdays at 11 am and weekends at 10:30 am.

There is no racing of Tuesdays. Post time is 1 pm. Travers Day, post time is 12:30 pm.
